More recently, telecoms and even consumer applications have led the way in pushing design engineers to the limit, whilst globally cost-conscious governments have looked to control spending on defence programs – including the introduction of COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) design and sourcing programs. But still the military & aerospace market sectors continue to show steady growth, fuelled by three main factors: the demand for greater Homeland Security; the increasing ‘intelligence' of weaponry; and the reliance on sophisticated communications and computer systems.

AVX has developed the TBW Series Tantalum Fused Capacitor to provide increased protection against short circuit failure modes. Using a thin film technology, the TBW Fused Capacitor has an internal fuse to protect against short circuits, as well as lower ESR limits than many of its competitors. Applications for the capacitor include any Military or Aerospace circuitry where derating is at marginal levels and reliability relating to voltage breakdown is a concern. In response to customer concerns regarding equipment damage resulting from sy
stem shorts, AVX developed the TBW Series Tantalum Fused Capacitor, which offers unparalleled protection against this potentially costly problem. By adding an internal fuse to the TBW Series, AVX has have a developed a capacitor that actually protects against system failure with voltage ratings up to 50VDC.

Molex Eurostyle™ ESE PCB Terminal Blocks
Molex provides a new and extensive range of ESE PCB terminal Blocks. Choose from a variety of Molex ESE PCB terminal blocks, an extension of the Eurostyle® terminal block family.
This new product line includes pitch sizes from 3.50mm (.138") to 5.08mm (.200") and is rated at 300V, from 8.0A to 15.0A. Select from fixed (single-piece) or pluggable (two-piece) terminal blocks from circuit sizes 2 through 24 (2 to 20 for some series).
All ESE terminal blocks from Molex are RoHS compliant and UL recognized for use in the US and Canada . These blocks are compatible with Molex Beau® and other industry standard terminal blocks.
