Harvatek’s HarvaLED® series is a TO220-type package design measuring 8.5mm
(15.8mm with heat sink and leads) in length, 8.5mm in width and 3.3mm in height.
The combination of an optically optimized reflector and a reflective leadframe substrate
provides high luminous output. The full range of correlated color temperatures – warm,
pure and cool white – is available for the white color LED, addressing the needs of indoor
and outdoor lighting applications, as well as numerous back-lighting applications.
This LED features a silicone lens and a rugged leadframe design that provide superior
thermal management, enabling it to deliver higher brightness and longer lifetime than
other 1-watt LED packages available in the marketplace today. With a thermal resistance
less than 10oC/W, significant improvement in power handling capability is made possible.
This series of LED is a lower cost solution compared to electroluminescent (EL) and
incandescent; it eliminates the need for auxiliary circuitry that requires high voltage and
greatly simplifies the lighting design requirements. In addition to indoor, outdoor and
architectural lighting, this LED is widely used in flashlights and appliance cabinet lighting.
