Recognized for his extraordinary leadership, guidance, and perseverance within the electronics industry, ECIA presented the inaugural North Star Award at the organization’s annual executive conference held recently in Chicago, IL.
Since 1976, the industry association has honored the meritorious achievements of members who have made significant, long-time contributions to the industry during their careers.
In presenting the award, Blair Haas, ECIA Board Chairman, cited Knight’s commitment to the advancement and growth of both the association and the industry. “Haas said, Michael is a consummate industry spokesman and has deftly used this skill in his role as a leading advocate for the industry. We can count on him to take a bold stance on addressing challenging industry issues. When he speaks, the industry listens.”
Among those to receive a notable Distinguished Service Award was Paula Renfrow, Vice President, TTI Americas Marketing, Renfrow served as chairman of the ECIA Marketing Council for two years and remains an influential contributor offering guidance and marketing expertise to the association.
For its 2015 creative marketing efforts, TTI received awards in the Best Sales Tools/Sales Incentive Campaign category for two internal incentive campaigns, AVX Games and the Molex Ultra Fit Campaign.
