PhotoMOS Relays – Optimized for use in Measurement


A new, optimized generation of PhotoMOS solid state relays is now available for measurement applications. One of the special features of the series is a low output capacity of just a few pF, enabling switching signal frequencies well into the MHz range. Switching contacts have a small form factor, low operating power and fast transfer characteristics. They operate silently and are highly durable, so extending their operational life and enhancing reliability. Measurement applications require the lowest possible output capacitance (C) when the contact is open, and at the same time a low contact resistance (R) when the contact is closed for high-frequency loads. Optimizing the capacitance and resistance in the transistors makes this possible. The typical output capacitance depending on type is a 0.5pF (minimum), and the contact resistance is in the range of under 1 mΩ.
