TT Electronics OAR Open Air Format Current Sense Resistors

TT Electronics OAR open air resistors are metal element current sense resistors (shunts) that feature a superior surge performance. Available with power ratings of 1, 3 and 5W (at 85°C), a tolerance of 1% and an element TCR of +/-20ppm/°C, they elevate the hot spot from the PCB thanks to their unique construction. Thus, they isolate the  hotspot from the circuit board material, preventing damage to the PCB and enhancing the reliability of surrounding components. Furthermore they require only a very small two-point footprint on the PCB, freeing up real estate between the terminals to be populated with other components.

Features

  • Power ratings of 1, 3 and 5 W @85°C
