The markets of portable communications, computing and video equipment are challenging the semiconductor industry to develop increasingly smaller electronic components.
To aid this miniaturization campaign, a new generation of Chip Diodes from Bourns has emerged that offers the capability to provide a silicon diode with minimal packaging overhead. The small signal 0603, 1005 and 1206 Chip Diodes are lead free with Cu/Ni/Au plated terminations while the other packages (SMA, SMB, SMC, 1408, 1607, 2010, 2419, 8L NSOIC, 16L NSOIC, SOT23, SOT23-6, 16L WSOIC) use 100% Tin terminations. All Bourns® diodes are compatible with lead free manufacturing processes, conforming to many industry and government regulations on lead free components.
CD-MMBL110S Surface Mount Bridge Rectifier Diode
Model CD-MMBL110S Surface Mount Bridge Rectifier Diode designed for converting Alternating Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC) in power applications with space limitations and low profile requirements. The new Model provides many benefits, including a much smaller footprint compared to a conventional gull-wing package, a flat no-leads package construction, superior coplanarity, improved solder joints, and the virtual elimination of short circuit conditions during manufacturing. It is suitable for a Universal Wall Socket with USB plug design.

Model CD-MBL, CD-DF4 and CD-HD Series
The Bourns® Model CD-MBL and Model CD-DF4 Bridge Rectifiers are designed for converting Alternating Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC) in power applications. The Bourns® Bridge Rectifiers are available with higher forward current (max. 4 A) and low forward voltages, offering compact designs of high efficiency. The Model CD-HD Schottky Bridge Rectifiers offer low forward voltages for use in low voltage and high efficiency designs.
