For e.g. big size solar energy plants HE-Y7 relay can be used to connect or disconnect the inverter output with the grid line. Altough the PCB relay (no screw terminals!) needs only 50x40mm of board space it can handle up to 57.6 kVA, means a high switching capacity of 120 A at 480 VAC or 55 A at 800 VAC. This can be realized by a special contact design with an advanced arc control which leads to less heating and a stable low contact resistance after switching. A large contact gap of 3.6mm, clearance & creepage of min. 10.5mm and a low coil holding power of 400mW completes the outstanding specification of HE-Y7 relay. Typical applications are inverters, battery storage systems, stationary charging stations, charging stations for electric vehicles and industrial equipment.
