Thanks to energy saving houses and new heating technologies like heat pumps, homeowners strive to become completely energy independent and also produce the needed electricity with solar energy plants (often combined with a storage battery). For those small size solar inverters, HE-Y5 PCB relay with a switching current of 48A @ 277VAC is a perfect switching solution e.g. for the safety cut-off at the AC side. With a minimum contact spacing of 2.5mm, the relay meets the safety requirements of inverters for use in photovoltaic energy systems in accordance with IEC62109. The compact design and low coil power dissipation allow the HE-Y5 relay to be used in high power applications such as photovoltaic inverters, industrial frequency converters, UPS and charging stations. The HE-Y5 relay is also suitable for high-current applications, which were previously mastered mainly by power contactors.
