VG Qualified Series at TTI, Inc. - Europe
VG Norms are defence technical standards with a similar status to DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) standards. Their purpose and scope are as follows: They specify the techno-economic and technical specifications that civilian standards are unable to meet for defence-related products and processes. When military operations demand special requirements and civilian standards are not applicable, these norms are issued.
Working Together with Citizen Norming Bodies: Within DIN, defence industry experts are actively involved in pertinent civilian norming committees. Their expertise is utilised to guarantee that VG norms cater to particular defence-related requirements that may not be addressed by civilian norms.
When military operations demand special requirements and civilian standards are not applicable, these norms are issued. Cooperation with Civilian Norming Bodies: Defence Industry Experts take an active part in pertinent civilian norming committees under DIN. Their expertise is used to ensure that defence-related demands that may not be covered by civilian norms are addressed in VG norms. German military VG standards are stringent technical and techno-economic specifications for defence industry goods and processes. Published by the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), these standards are known as Verteidigungsgeräte, or Defence Equipment.
The military standards (MIL-STD or MIL-SPEC) of the United States are comparable to the VG standards. Additionally, nations that support NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation), such as the Netherlands' Ministerie van Defensie and Armasuisse (the Federal Office for Defence Procurement), recognise them.
Defence equipment standards are now only used in situations where civil standards are insufficient, in an effort to reduce procurement costs. You can rely on products that are developed, designed, and manufactured to the highest standards of quality and dependability when you choose a VG or MIL-SPEC connector system.

RoHS and REACH Compliant
RoHs and REACH compliant VG connectors series with J-plating are also available from different suppliers.
The Tin Zinc is the alternative to Olive Drab Cadmium plating on Aluminum, completely RoHS Compliant, Cr6+ free & does not contain any SVHC - Substances of Very High Concern (REACH).
The connector has a zinc-tin-coated and electrically conductive shield connection system, which fully complies with the values of a cadmium-plated design in terms of corrosion resistance, conductivity and shielding capability. A compatibility to cadmium or other listed platings has been checked according to the table below. The corrosion test is carried out in the same way as the cadmium version according to VG95319-2 / test 5.50 (this is a dynamic 5d test according to DIN EN 60068-2-52, test Kb).
Marine bronze or stainless steel solutions are also available.
