Honeywell introduces the Next-Generation intelligent (iseries) gas sensors, which are digital, These sensors have a digital interface, longer life and numerous built-in diagnostics features. The iseries’ intelligent diagnostic features enhance the overall instrument performance, making them smarter and safer by indicating faults and monitoring health, thereby decreasing downtime and cost of ownership. The ease of integration combined with pre-calibration drives a significant benefit to OEMs for easy integrating into instrument. In-built OEM lock code prevents unauthorized third-party replacement of sensors in the field. The sensors have a 5 year operating life coupled with extended temperature and humidity range, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Features

  • Digitized so allows diff. sensors to communicate with instrument directly  avoiding complicated circuitry, typical of analogue systems.
  • Pre- Calibrated-Simplifies & eliminates initial calibration stage,  reducing time and cost.
  • Predictive Calibration provides for planned maintenance intervals, reducing down time, only re-calibrating when its actually required.
  • Built in diagnostics measurement gives early warning for maintenance and malfunction of sensor.
  • Built in daily automated diag. test, send out ‘fault flags’ enabling required action by user.
  • Built in OEM Lock feature with unique 6 digit lock code. Security feature preventing unauthorized replacement in field, protecting
    device.
  • 5 Year Life limits need for frequent sensor replacement therefore saving costs.
  • Small height, with front turret ensures easier flexible installation compared to existing sensors in the market.
  • Enables the OEMs to design standard instrument platforms for multiple applications for use in various environments.

Applications

  • OEMS manufacturing Data Loggers, Gas Detectors, Analysers, Gas Monitors.
  • Mid and Small OEMs /New Entrants who have less experience of Gas Sensor design and can benefit from 'plug and play' solutions.
  • Larger OEMS looking to transition to devices which can support data acquisition and analytics.
  • Design Houses Developeing new applications
  • Agricultural Areas - Measuring Emissions of Livestock
  • Oil & Gas Off Shore and Onshore Oil Rigs
  • Medical Respiratory -  Devices
  • Waste water sewerage plants
  • Petrochemical Processing Sites
  • Chemical Manufacture sites
  • Portable Personal Protection for employees in all of above applications
