The HA42A and HA86A Series gate drive transformer is a miniature surface mount design solution targeted for high reliability automotive applications. Gate drive transformers are used to deliver the controlling pulses while providing isolation between the MOSFET and the controlling drive circuit. It is mechanically robust with lower leakage inductance which gives it the advantage of much lower turn on and turn off delay time. The HA86A design has higher current capability and lower temperature rise performance. It is ideal for high efficiency of Battery Management System applications where size is critical and AEC-Q200 certification assures performance and reliability levels that automotive applications demand.
