Vishay Polymer Surface Mount Chip Capacitor

Vishay's polymer surface mount chip capacitors feature a high volumetric efficiency that allows smaller devices to have higher capacitance values. They are constructed with a highly conductive polymer as the cathode system, which significantly reduces the equivalent series resistance (ESR) and provides a robust solution under voltage stress. This results at a much lower voltage derating for Polymer (-10 to -20%) than traditional tantalum (-50%). Unlike MLCCs, Vishay Polymer capacitors have no capacitance loss with DC bias or temperature, no piezo noise effect and a more robust design.

Vishay offers a wide range of series in different case sizes, such as the T51 series for automotive application, the T55 for applications in the computer, industrial and consumer segment and the T54 series in AMS applications
