RCC e3 Series - Medium Power Thick Film Chip Resistors
Vishay's automotive medium power thick film chip resistor series RCC e3 features a higher power rating and operating voltage as compared to standard chip resistors, offering the capability to replace standard resistors of the next larger size. A cermet film layer and a glass-over are deposited on a high-grade (AI2O3) ceramic substrate with its prepared inner contacts on both sides. A special laser is used to achieve the target value and the desired power dissipation performance by smoothly fine trimming the resistive layer without damaging the ceramics. The complete series is AEC-Q200 qualified.
Features
- Higher power and voltage rating than standard thick film resistors
- Same long term stability even at higher power and voltage ratings
- Replacement of next larger size resistors
- Potentially lower cost
- Board space saving
