Ultra-High Power Thick Film Chip Resistors
The Bourns® Model CHP ultra-high power thick film resistor series offers triple rated power compared to general purpose resistors. It comes in four different footprints from small 0603 (1608 Metric) up to 2512 (6431 Metric). The Model CHP series has a wide resistance range from 0.1 ohms and high rated power, making it ideal for current sensing.

High Power Current Sense Resistor Families
Current sense resistors are growing in popularity due to their high measurement accuracy and relatively low cost compared to other tecnologies. These resistors detect and convert current to an easily measured voltage which is proportional to the current throught the device. The Bourns® Model CSS Series comes in both 2-terminal (2512; 3920; 5930) and 4-terminal (4026) options.

Bourns TBU® High-Speed Protectors (HSPs) enables fast, precise and durable circuit protection. Bourns TBU® when placed in series in a signal line, monitors the current flowing through the line. Once the line current exceeds Itrigger, the TBU® device’s preset trigger current, the TBU® HSP transitions to provide an effective barrier to high voltages and currents in less than 1 μs.
