Molex Zonal Architecture: Making the Car of the Future
The advantages offered by zonal architecture will change the automotive design completely. At it’s heart, the zonal approach reduces the complexity reuired of the cable harnesses within the vehicle, both in terms of the number of wires and the distances they are required to travel.
Connectors will be critical to these designs, and Molex is collaborating across markets to deliver high-power and high-speed solutions in this new automotive environment. If you’re ready to discuss this new approach with one of your TTI experts, get in touch today!
Mini50 Connector Systems
Molex Mini50 Connector Systems saves 50% more space than typical USCAR 0.64mm connections by incorporating sealed or unsealed Mini50 single- and dual-row receptacles with smaller terminals to accommodate additional low-current electrical circuits in interior transportation-vehicle applications. The Mini50 sealed and unsealed wire-to-board receptacles enable device manufacturers to package circuits in smaller locations while cutting costs by utilising smaller pin, terminal, and wire sizes. The connections are the only interface in the industry that meets USCAR 050 specifications. Because of the integration of many components in today's transportation business, harnesses with reduced weight, space, and cost are required. Mini50 connectors offer dependable performance in a small package, making them perfect for use in infotainment, lighting, and HVAC systems.
